For you to entre the UK

As you more than likely already know the tick and tapeworm treatment
has to be done with a vet in Europe no earlier than 24 hours before you entre the UK and no later than 48hours.

The 24 to 48 hour rules are from the time the vet administers treatment to the check in at the ferry / Eurotunnel, and not the time you entre the UK.

As long as you have checked in within the time period, if there are any delays you are still within the PET TRAVEL SCHEME, and are allowed to entre the UK

If for any reason you are unable to check in with the Ferry/Eurotunnel within the 48hours. Then unfortunately you will need to have the treatment again. And wait until the 24 hours has passed.
